Homework due October 30th 2012

7th Grade:  The students have a 2 page handout which is front and back on both pages, so a total of 4 pages that they have been working on since last week.  The pages have the following titles:
  • Civil War Chronology & Review
  • Read Andrew Johnson and Reconstruction
  • Answer questions on Andrew Johnson and Reconstruction
  • Final page is a crossword puzzle titled, A Civil War Review
We covered some of these questions in class today, however, most of this is review from the last few weeks, and the students should have no problem completing the assignment.

*STUDENTS WILL HAVE A TEST FRIDAY!

8th Grade:  As a class we have been discussing the two candidates for this years election.  The students have also completed an assignment from The Scholastic Journal on the candidates and their positions on the main issues. In addition, we have watched some of the debates.  Tonight they are responsible for two things:
  1. They need to explain which candidate they support and why using facts to support their answers.  Also, they need to be prepared to debate the other side of the argument.
  2. We have been analyzing the Declaration of Independence, the students need to write one page on ideas they have for a current form of The Declaration of Independence.
